Gastronomy of Syros
Gastronomy is an integral part of Maritime Tourism. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste traditional products of the area. The most famous product produced on the island is the Syrian Turkish delight. Another Syrian product of the donut makers is the halva pie made from thyme Syrian honey and freshly baked almond. The island also prepares local sausage containing fennel, but also the cheese “San Michalis” which is prepared from local milk of Syros.
